Topics Awaiting Proposals for Funding and Development
The Institute of Internal Auditors Research Foundation (IIARF) encourages research of discovery, integration, and application along the broad areas included in The IIA definition that identifies internal audit as an integral part of an organization's governance, risk, and control processes. We invite interested researchers throughout the world to undertake research initiatives that promote thought leadership, create new knowledge, and offer innovative ideas for the internal audit profession. Any research funded by The IIARF must clearly demonstrate a link to internal auditing and the specific implications for the profession.
Internal Audit Research Priority Topics
The number of projects selected for funding will depend on the quality and number of proposals received and the total dollar amount of funds requested. In 2010, The Foundation has available US$135,000 in funding for proposals submitted during the year.Organizations interested in funding research in internal auditing, please contact research@theiia.org for further information.
Other Topics
Researchers interested in topics that are not on the priorities list are asked to submit an “Intent to Propose” form. The topic and approach outlined will be evaluated by a review team and if accepted, you will be invited to submit a full Proposal for funding.
